Ubisoft announced that the official unveiling of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will take place this week. The presentation is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2026, and will be streamed live on YouTube and Twitch. The company confirmed that the project, which has been poorly kept secret for years, will finally be revealed to fans.
According to reports, the remake is expected to launch shortly after its unveiling, with Insider Gaming indicating a potential release date of July 9, 2026. The original Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was released in 2013 as the fourth main installment in the series, following the story of Edward Kenway, a pirate who joins the Assassin Brotherhood.
Notably, several key figures from the original Black Flag development team are now leading the project at Vantage Studios, a newly established studio overseeing future Assassin’s Creed titles. Martin Schelling, Jean Guesdon, and François de Billy are reportedly at the helm of the studio, which is tasked with guiding the franchise’s evolution.
The remake has generated significant anticipation among fans, with many eager to notice how Ubisoft will modernize the beloved pirate adventure even as preserving its core appeal. The upcoming presentation aims to clarify the scope of the updates and provide clarity on the project’s timeline.
