The couple, who began dating in 2011 and married two years later, share two daughters: Edie, aged 10, and Delilah, aged 6. Earlier this month, the entire family was seen together on a trip to Venice.
However, signs of strain emerged before the vacation, with tabloids including Daily Mail and Page Six reporting growing tensions in the relationship. Rumors of a split began circulating in February after Knightley removed Righton’s surname from official documents tied to her company, KCK Boo. Her name now appears as Keira Christine Knightley on those records.
Further fueling speculation, James Righton was recently photographed cycling in London without his wedding ring. The images, published by Daily Mail, present the musician bare-fingered on his left hand. Neither Knightley nor Righton has publicly addressed the rumors.
Known for guarding their privacy, the Oscar-nominated actress broke her silence in 2024 during a rare interview with The Times, where she reflected on their dynamic: “We really annoy each other. But damn, we laugh a lot.”
