Carina Berg, who has been married to footballer Erik Berg since 2018, recently shared heartfelt comments about her ex-husband Kristian Luuk during a guest appearance on the radio show “Rix MorronZoo.” The program, which focused on celebrating positive ex-relationships, gave Berg the opportunity to reflect on her ongoing co-parenting dynamic with Luuk, whom she was married to for eight years and shares a son, Holger, with.

During the live broadcast, Berg praised Luuk’s dedication as a father, saying, “Holgers pappa Kristian är en toppenpappa. Rolig, väldigt bra på scheman, missar aldrig ett utvecklingssamtal, påminner mig i all största välmening – för han vet att hans ex, det vill säga jag – är lite snurrigare.” She went on to explain that Luuk frequently helps maintain structure in their son’s life and occasionally checks in to ensure his involvement isn’t overstepping.

“Nej, men jag är så tacksam,” Berg responded when Luuk asks if his support feels intrusive. Her gratitude was echoed in her remarks about their continued ability to celebrate holidays together with their respective families, despite their 2016 divorce.

The couple originally met in 2005 while working on the show “Godnatt Sverige,” which marked Berg’s television debut. After Luuk ended a previous relationship, the two began dating and married in 2008. Their marriage lasted until 2016, though they have maintained a respectful and cooperative relationship since their separation.

Berg also highlighted how Luuk has supported her growing family with Erik Berg, noting that he has offered to watch their middle child, Otto, so she and her husband could enjoy time together. She described one such occasion as “mysigt,” adding that Luuk enjoys spending time with both Otto and Holger when the boys are together at his home.

Her comments approach amid a busy personal chapter, following the births of her two children with Erik Berg—son Otto in December 2019 and daughter Juno in March 2020—making her a mother of three. Despite the evolution of her family life, Berg emphasized that her appreciation for Luuk’s role as a co-parent remains strong and consistent.
