During a live broadcast of the Dutch talk reveal “Eva,” hosted by Eva Jinek, two audience members disrupted the segment by approaching the set and asking where they could order a drink.
The incident occurred while comedian Peter Pannekoek was discussing set design during his regular theater segment. The two individuals, described as young men, walked onto the set and interrupted the conversation, prompting an immediate response from the host.
Eva Jinek responded directly, saying, “Not here guys. What we have is Peter Pannekoek, you’re not going to interrupt him.” Security personnel swiftly intervened, escorting the individuals from the studio.
As they were being removed, Jinek added, “Well, spot you later, guys,” with one of the individuals stumbling backward as they exited.
Pannekoek later responded with humor, suggesting the disruption might have been a hazing ritual or referencing a previous incident involving Gerard Joling and a beer-throwing fan. He joked, “I perceive like an idiot for not knocking them out,” while noting the audience might suspect the stunt was staged.
The broadcast resumed shortly after the interruption, with both host and guest addressing the unexpected event on air.
Such live television disruptions, while rare, often spark conversations about studio security and the spontaneity of live broadcasts in the entertainment industry.
