[BEIJING] China has affirmed its support for Cuba’s sovereignty amid reports of fuel shortages impacting flights to the island nation. The statement comes as several airlines have suspended service to Cuba following disruptions caused by U.S. Restrictions on fuel deliveries from Venezuela.

The situation highlights the ongoing complexities of U.S.-Cuba relations and the impact of broader geopolitical factors on regional stability. More details are available here.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on February 10, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that Beijing has not received reports of Chinese citizens stranded due to flight cancellations.
