Clermont-Ferrand’s Théâtrales are set to launch their eighth season with a trio of comedies, bringing a diverse range of theatrical experiences to audiences starting next month. The season promises a mix of farcical and poignant performances, showcasing both established and emerging talent.

The season kicks off on Friday, March 13, 2026, with “Un sympathique idiot,” a comedy by Jean-Claude Martineau, presented by the Amicale théâtrale de Renung. The play explores the challenges of maintaining good cheer when fortune smiles too brightly. The Théâtrales have become a significant cultural event in the region, offering accessible and engaging theater to a wide audience.

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, La Scène arthézienne d’Arthez-de-Béarn will present “Faites comme chez vous,” a surreal and comical police procedural by Bruno Charles Lugan, directed by Jean-Claude Genin. This promises a unique and quirky take on the classic whodunit genre.

Rounding out the program on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM, Compagnie La Troisième rue of Biarritz returns with “Parle-moi d’amour” by Philippe Claudel, staged by Virginie Mahé. The production features a duo delivering what’s described as a “delirious” and over-the-top domestic dispute.

Tickets are 10 euros, and free for those under 14. Due to limited seating, reservations are strongly recommended. Interested patrons can book their seats by calling 06 16 79 04 57 or 06 07 37 52 61, or by emailing [email protected]. The Théâtrales’ continued success demonstrates the enduring appeal of live performance in the region.
