Martine Baspeyras indicates that there are no significant risks associated with using collagen masks.

According to Baspeyras, “Once ingested, collagen is simply broken down into amino acids like all dietary proteins, and it doesn’t reach the skin intact to ‘rebuild’ skin collagen.” She estimates that “only 5% reaches the skin.”
