Colo Colo manager Fernando Ortiz has made significant changes to his squad, shaking up the roster following a recent Superclásico defeat. One player already heading for the exit is young midfielder Dylan Portilla.
Portilla is among a growing list of players deemed surplus to requirements by Ortiz, joining Matías Fernández on the list of those moving on. The 21-year-old will continue his development elsewhere after failing to impress the Argentinian coach.
After a loan spell with Deportes Limache last year, Portilla has been loaned again, this time to Santiago Wanderers. The move offers the midfielder a chance for regular playing time as he looks to further his career. He made 18 appearances and scored one goal even as with Limache.
Portilla Joins Wanderers on Loan
According to journalist Nicolás Ríos of UCV Radio, Portilla has officially joined Santiago Wanderers on a loan deal. The move comes as Colo Colo looks to trim its squad and give opportunities to other players.
Wanderers have as well secured the first contract for one of their promising youth players, Denilson San Martín, as they look to strengthen their squad for a push up the Primera B table. The team is currently struggling, with only one point from their first two matches.
Santiago Wanderers will be looking for their first win of the season on Monday, March 9, 2026, when they host Deportes Santa Cruz at the Elías Figueroa Brander stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 PM local time.
