Paris Basketball guard Nadir Hifi has reiterated his strong ambition to play in the NBA, stating publicly that joining the league remains his primary goal.

The French-Algerian shooting guard, who currently plays for Paris Basketball in the French LNB Élite and the EuroLeague, has made his intentions clear in recent interviews with French media outlets. Hifi emphasized that the NBA is his sole focus at this stage of his career.

Born on July 16, 2002, in Strasbourg, France, Hifi began his professional career with Le Portel in 2020 before moving to Paris Basketball in 2023. Standing at 5 feet 11 inches (1.80 meters) and weighing 180 pounds (82 kilograms), he plays both shooting guard and point guard positions.

Hifi went undrafted in the 2023 NBA draft but has continued to develop his game overseas. His performances have drawn attention, including being named to the All-EuroCup Second Team in 2024 after averaging 16.3 points per game and ranking second in three-pointers made during the competition.

More recently, Hifi earned recognition as the EuroLeague Rising Star in 2025 and helped Paris Basketball secure multiple domestic titles, including the LNB Élite championship, French Cup, and Leaders Cup in 2025. He was also named French Cup Final MVP and LNB Élite Top Scorer in 2025.

Despite his success in Europe, Hifi maintains that his ultimate aspiration is to compete in the NBA. He has stated that he feels ready for the challenge and views the NBA as his only immediate option.

As he continues to establish himself as a key player for Paris Basketball in both domestic and EuroLeague competition, Hifi’s pursuit of an NBA opportunity remains a central storyline in his developing career.
