Amidst a busy February for gaming announcements – including showcases from Nintendo and PlayStation – the independent game development scene will have its moment in the spotlight. The Convergence Games Showcase returns February 19th, offering a two-hour livestream dedicated to over 30 indie and AA titles [[1]]. the returning showcase, hosted by Jesse Cox and Rupert Booth [[2]], aims to highlight innovation within the industry and provide a platform for creators to connect wiht players [[3]].

Gamers have several digital events to look forward to in the coming weeks, including a Nintendo Partner Direct showcase and a potential State of Play presentation from PlayStation, alongside ongoing streams from Blizzard. But the announcements don’t stop there.

The Convergence Games Showcase is set to return in a few weeks, offering a roughly two-hour livestream featuring updates on over 30 indie and AAA titles. This event comes at a time when independent game development is gaining increasing visibility and influence within the broader gaming landscape.

The showcase will be held on February 19th at 7:30 PM GMT / 8:30 PM CET and will be streamed live on YouTube, Twitch, and even Steam. A short trailer previewing some of the developers and games featured in the event has been promised.

“Independent players from around the world will have the opportunity to watch two hours of live gameplay showcasing some of the most promising games of 2026, including MOUSE P.I. (Fumi Games/PlaySide Studios), DenshAttack! (Undercoders/Fireshine Games), and the hilariously comedic ‘How Many Dudes?’ (Creamy Snug Games).” The event will also feature appearances from publishers and developers including Secret Mode (NUTMEG!, Everything is Crab), Kwalee (Grime II, Modulus), and Super Rare Games (Teeto, Townseek), with more announcements expected during the broadcast. The livestream will include extended gameplay coverage from popular content creators such as ChilledChaos, Laimu, TayderTot, Yenkoes, Preach, BearBoo, Cheebiez, Shakey, and The Hot Cross.
