Esports fans have a new competition to look forward to: the inaugural XIXO & SZIKSZÓ E-Sport CUP National Counter-Strike 2 tournament will be live-streamed November 22nd on TV2 Play. The event is already generating significant buzz within the Hungarian gaming community.

Organized by the Szikszó E-Sport Club, the one-day tournament will see 12 amateur teams from across Hungary competing for a total prize pool of 1 million Hungarian Forint. For the Hungarian Counter-Strike 2 community, this competition represents a fresh and dynamic initiative with the potential to shape future esports events.

Fans can watch the entire competition for free on TV2 Play, which is increasingly establishing itself as a key platform for esports broadcasting. The growing popularity of esports continues to drive demand for accessible streaming options.

“We are delighted that TV2 Group, as a media and streaming partner, can support the first XIXO & SZIKSZÓ E-Sport CUP National CounterStrike2 competition. In 2024, we broadcast the final of the first international Gran Turismo esports world championship on TV2 Play Premium, which we continued this summer, but with a larger event series.”

“This summer, we brought exciting world championships to the TV2 Group’s digital streaming platform, such as the Esports World Championship (EWC) and GeoGuessr. In 2026, we will strengthen our digital presence with further international esports world competitions to ensure that young people can find the content they are interested in on TV2 Play,” said Erika Bodócsi, TV2’s Head of Content Distribution.

The event was made possible through a partnership between the city of Szikszó, dubbed “the small town that gives strength,” and the XIXO brand. Registration for the tournament filled up quickly, demonstrating the enthusiasm within the Hungarian Counter-Strike scene. Organizers are already looking ahead, with plans to potentially expand the cup into a larger, multi-day international event in 2026.
