Dahua Launches WizColor 2.0 Night Vision Security Cameras

Dahua Technology has unveiled WizColor 2.0, the latest upgrade to its low-light monitoring solutions, marking a significant advancement in full-color imaging under challenging lighting conditions. The announcement was made on April 15, 2026, in Hangzhou, China. At the core of WizColor 2.0 is WizColor X, a next-generation component designed to significantly improve light sensitivity and deliver richer color layers and finer details in low-light environments. It similarly enhances the capture and recognition of moving subjects, effectively reducing motion blur. Key features include an UltraSight Lens with an ultra-large F0.8 aperture, which enables 1.6x more light intake compared to F1.0, achieving both exceptional clarity and improved light capture. The system also incorporates a Large Pixel Size Sensor with a 4 μm pixel size, making each pixel’s photosensitive area 1.9× larger than that of previous WizColor technology. WizColor 2.0 integrates AI-ISP 2.0, which enhances model capability and motion-target performance with parameters scaled to billions and training datasets expanded to hundreds of thousands. This technology leverages reference-frame segmentation and motion direction estimation to support current-frame segmentation, reducing motion ghosting in extreme scenarios. The WizColor X – TiOC PROX Series further incorporates Optical Path Correction (OPC) technology to optimize light refraction for improved clarity. A dual-microphone array combined with VoiceCatcher technology enhances audio performance by reducing background noise and extending pickup range. According to Beryl Bai, Product Manager at Dahua Technology, “WizColor 2.0 represents a further step in improving full-color imaging under low-light conditions.” The technology builds on Dahua’s existing WizColor platform, which seamlessly integrates powerful AI-ISP, large pixel size sensors, and large apertures in cameras to enable vibrant, high-quality nighttime images while preserving details and minimizing image blur. This foundation supports expanded capabilities through themes such as WizColor + 4K, WizColor +PT, WizColor + Vari-focal, WizColor + HDCVI, and others. WizColor 2.0 underscores Dahua Technology’s ongoing commitment to advancing intelligent monitoring solutions through innovation in imaging and AI-driven processing.
