‘Dancing With The Stars’ Eliminates One Couple During ‘Wicked’ Night
Professional ballroom dancer Jordan Chiles and her partner, Ezra Sosa, were eliminated from “Dancing With The Stars” yesterday, October 21, following a night dedicated to music from the movie Wicked.
The pair received scores of 28 out of 30 for both their Argentine Tango and their relay quickstep, but ultimately landed in the bottom two alongside actor Mauricio Umansky and his partner, Emma Slater. Judge Derek Hough commented on Chiles and Sosa’s Argentine Tango, stating it was “powerful and dynamic.” Despite strong performances throughout the season, the judges chose to save Umansky and Slater, sending Chiles and Sosa home.
This season of Dancing With The Stars features a diverse cast of celebrities competing for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy, and the elimination of Chiles and Sosa marks a significant shift in the competition as it heads into the next round. Guest judge Jon M. Chu, director of the Wicked films, was present during the show, offering his expertise and commentary. The show also experienced a brief moment of uncensored feedback when Chiles and Sosa’s scores were announced, resulting in a bleeped reaction from the pair. You can find more information about the show’s format and history on the official website.
The remaining couples will continue to compete next week, with new challenges and performances. Producers have indicated that the competition will become even more intense as the finale approaches, according to Billboard.
