Houseplant exchange on February 3rd/Drop-off begins January 29th
The Delitzsch Old Latin School City Library (BAL) will host a plant swap event on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The event offers a sustainable way for residents to exchange houseplants, giving unwanted plants a new home and providing opportunities to discover new varieties.
Plant drop-offs will be accepted at the BAL starting Thursday, January 29, 2026, during regular library hours. All collected plants will then be available for swapping on the day of the event.
The initiative aims to promote resource conservation and reduce waste by offering a community-based alternative to discarding unwanted plants. This type of event reflects a growing consumer interest in sustainable practices and localized economies.
The plant swap is open to all plant enthusiasts, regardless of experience level. Participants can bring cuttings, small potted plants, or well-maintained houseplants to exchange, with no cost to participate.
