Jakarta –
Indonesian singer Dewi Perssik is overflowing with pride as her son, Felice Gabriel, has been accepted into the Indonesian Military Academy (Akmil). The news has quickly spread and gone viral across social media platforms.
Speaking to reporters in the Daan Mogot area of West Jakarta on Thursday evening, December 4, 2025, a beaming Dewi Perssik shared details about her son’s achievement.
“Regarding Gabriel, thank God, because his dream has always been to join the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces). I actually hoped he would go to the police academy, Akpol, but he wanted to attend Akmil. So, I could only guide him; the decision of what he wanted to pursue was his,” Dewi Perssik said with a smile.

She emphasized that Gabriel’s acceptance wasn’t simply luck, but the result of his hard work and dedication.
“And thankfully, he was capable, so I am incredibly grateful. This is the result of his hard work, and he deserves it. I just ask for prayers from viewers at home so that my son’s journey will be smooth, as the education will take three or four years. Hopefully, he will be able to complete it all,” she explained.
The host of “Pagi Pagi Ambyar” admitted that letting go of her son to pursue his education was difficult, but she is confident he will ultimately serve the country.
“For me, this is a noble profession – serving the country, and then family. Prioritizing the nation and then family. So, to me, my son is a little hero with a noble aspiration,” she said.
“So, I have to be able to… to let him go because children are a gift from God. As long as it’s for the best and his aspiration is to serve the nation, why not,” Dewi Perssik concluded.
