Portuguese actor Diogo Amaral is currently stranded in India after his flight back to Portugal was canceled due to ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

“The plan was to return tomorrow, but with all this going on, I’m certain my flight will be canceled. And so… I already miss my Célia, the kids, and my four-legged friends,” Amaral wrote on Sunday, March 1.

On Tuesday, March 3, the 44-year-traditional actor returned to social media to address concerns surrounding reports of his situation, clarifying that he is safe and well.

“Sending good morning wishes to my beautiful Célia and explaining/ showing my son that Dad is fine and that the news saying Dad is in danger is a lie,” he posted on Instagram.

The post included a photo from a video call with his wife, Jessica Athayde, and their six-year-old son, Oliver. Amaral is also father to 11-year-old Mateus, from a previous relationship with Vera Kolodzig.

Amaral embarked on a solo backpacking trip to India before becoming unexpectedly delayed.
