DJ Sander van Doorn revealed to RTL Boulevard that the pair have been together for approximately four months. “November 10th of last year was our first date. We were both late, but that’s how we immediately clicked,” he said with a laugh. “We had a nice evening together. Two days later we met again, and things progressed quickly after that.”
The creator of tracks like Close My Eyes and Koko is deeply in love with his new partner. She has also met his two children from a previous relationship. “That’s not nothing when you start a relationship. She embraced it in a remarkably beautiful way, and I am very grateful for that.”
Van Doorn hopes to break a taboo by publicly acknowledging the relationship as a well-known DJ. Even as their announcement has received some negative reactions due to Solange being a transgender woman, he remains unfazed. “Solange is one hundred percent woman in every way. I also think it’s something very special and beautiful that medical science is able to do something so positive.”
Solange has been warmly welcomed by Van Doorn’s family. “The first thing my family said was, ‘When are we going to meet her?’ I’m also getting super nice reactions in my own circles as a DJ.”
The DJ doesn’t seem to care about the negative reactions. “Love should be celebrated, and we just fell in love with each other! She makes me happy and is truly my girl.”
Dutch DJ Sander van Doorn has publicly announced his relationship with Solange, a transgender woman, sparking a wave of support and some backlash online. The announcement, made via an Instagram post, has resonated with figures from the reality television series The Real Housewives of Amsterdam, including Elvira Penthesilea and Sheila Bergeik, who both offered messages of support.
Van Doorn shared that the couple began dating around November 10, 2025, describing an immediate connection despite both arriving late to their first meeting. He emphasized the positive reception from his family and within his professional network, highlighting a desire to challenge societal norms surrounding relationships.
