Cairo – The Egyptian government will extend subsidized housing loan programs for families impacted by security operations and conflict, a move highlighting continued state support for vulnerable citizens. Approved by the cabinet on December 1, 2025, the initiative builds on existing Central Bank of Egypt programs and the broader “Housing for All Egyptians” scheme, wich began in 2011[[1]]. While details remain limited, the continuation of these low-interest loans – ranging from 3% to 8% – offers a vital financial lifeline to those who have served or been affected by ongoing regional instability.

The Egyptian cabinet has approved the continuation of subsidized housing loans for families of fallen and injured military and police personnel, as well as those impacted by wartime operations and facing urgent humanitarian needs. The decision, made following a December 1, 2025, meeting of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, extends favorable interest rates ranging from 3% to 8% under existing Central Bank of Egypt initiatives. This move aims to provide crucial financial assistance to vulnerable populations seeking affordable housing.

According to the cabinet’s announcement, the program will be available to both previously submitted applications and new applicants, mirroring the benefits offered to those participating in the “Housing for All Egyptians” programs 1, 2, and 3. The initiative is capped at 600 housing units annually.

The continuation of these financial benefits underscores the Egyptian government’s commitment to supporting its security forces and citizens facing hardship. Details regarding the application process and eligibility requirements were not immediately available.
