Toyota Motor Europe unveiled a refreshed version of its best-selling Yaris Cross compact SUV on April 16, 2026, featuring a clean and elegant update to the model’s design.

The redesign, announced through Toyota’s European newsroom, maintains the vehicle’s reputation for ingenuity, efficiency, and practicality while introducing a stylish makeover aimed at strengthening its appeal in the competitive European market.

The Yaris Cross has consistently ranked among Toyota’s top-selling models in Europe, and this update comes as part of the automaker’s broader strategy to modernize its lineup amid growing demand for compact, sustainable mobility solutions.

Toyota Motor Europe reported that battery electric vehicle sales rose 79% in the first quarter of 2026, with a total of 318,103 vehicles sold during the period, underscoring the company’s momentum in electrification.

The refreshed Yaris Cross is expected to contribute to Toyota’s ongoing efforts to expand its electrified vehicle offerings, which include hybrid, plug-in hybrid, battery electric, and hydrogen powertrain technologies across its European portfolio.

Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, Toyota Motor Europe oversees operations across Europe and Western Asia, supporting a network of 31 national marketing and sales companies and nine manufacturing plants throughout the region.
