“Everybody Loves Raymond” Cast Reunites for 30th Anniversary Special
The cast of the beloved sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond” reunited yesterday to celebrate the show’s 30th anniversary, with a special set to air on CBS later this month.
Featuring Ray Romano, Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Monica Horan, Madylin Sweeten, and Sullivan Sweeten, the reunion acknowledges the passage of time since the show’s 1996 premiere. The special, titled “Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion,” will be hosted by Romano and series creator Phil Rosenthal, and will include candid conversations, never-before-seen outtakes, and commentary. The show remains a staple of syndication and streaming, demonstrating the enduring appeal of family sitcoms.
The reunion also serves as a tribute to cast members who have passed away, including Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle, and Sawyer Sweeten. “The obvious is Peter and Doris and one of the kids – they’re no longer with us,” Romano told The New York Post in June. “We’re all heartbroken. They’re a big part of the show, the dynamic. Without them, I don’t know what the dynamic is.” Garrett echoed this sentiment, stating, “There is no show without the parents.” The original series, which ran for nine seasons, garnered 69 Emmy nominations and won 15 awards, including two for Outstanding Comedy Series – in 2003 and 2005 – solidifying its place in television history. You can find more information about the show’s accolades on the official Emmy Awards website.
“Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion” will air on November 24 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available for streaming on Paramount+, offering fans a nostalgic look back at one of television’s most cherished comedies.
