Flamengo Manager Addresses Search for New Attacker
Flamengo is actively seeking to bolster its attacking options ahead of the 2026 season, and manager Filipe Luís recently commented on the club’s efforts in the transfer market. The Brazilian Série A is known for its competitive attacking talent, making finding the right fit crucial for Flamengo’s ambitions.
“This is a question for the sporting director,” Luís stated. “Of course, I participate in assembling the squad. We are always looking at the market and trying to strengthen positions as much as possible, and attack is one of them. It’s not easy to find a striker.”
He continued, “The strikers who are worth what they’re worth, most of them don’t want to come to Brazil. It’s not easy to reinforce this position. But surely (José) Boto and the entire club’s scouting team are looking at the market daily in search of reinforcements for the squad.”
Flamengo’s Recent Acquisitions
Flamengo has already secured three new players at the start of the season: Vitão, Andrew, and Lucas Paquetá. However, the club remains focused on adding firepower up front, following the departures of Juninho and Michael.
