Universal Audio has expanded control options for its popular Apollo audio interfaces with the release of the Fonoflow Console Remote Control App. The new app, available for both iOS and Android, allows engineers and producers too remotely adjust key interface parameters-such as gain, filters, and phantom power-directly from a tablet or smartphone, offering greater flexibility in the studio environment. This development reflects a growing trend toward app-based control in professional audio workflows, streamlining operations and offering increased accessibility.
Remote Control App Now Available for Universal Audio Apollo Interfaces
December 23, 2025
Universal Audio’s Apollo audio interfaces are now compatible with remote control via tablet or smartphone, thanks to the newly released Fonoflow Console Remote Control App. Previously, users were limited to Universal Audio’s desktop-based Console application for controlling their Apollo interfaces. This new app offers significantly increased flexibility for audio professionals.

The ability to control a growing number of devices via app is becoming increasingly common, even extending to fine-tuning studio monitor sound without needing to be directly at the speakers. This trend reflects a broader push for greater accessibility and control in professional audio workflows.
Universal Audio’s Apollo interfaces already offered extensive parameter control through an app, but that functionality was limited to the company’s own Console application – which runs exclusively on desktop computers and laptops. A dedicated smartphone or tablet version was previously unavailable.
The Fonoflow Console Remote Control App bridges that gap, enabling remote control of key functions like gain, pad, low-cut filters, and phantom power. The app requires both the interface and the controlling device to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, providing a wireless and flexible workflow. Users can now adjust interface gain from the recording room, quickly engage a low-cut filter, or activate phantom power without returning to the computer.
The Fonoflow Console Remote Control App also provides access to Universal Audio’s extensive plug-in library. UAD plug-ins can be opened and edited directly from within the app. Furthermore, users can quickly create routings, configure monitor mixes, and integrate external equipment.
The app’s user interface is also customizable, allowing users to display only a select few functions on their dashboard for increased clarity and efficiency.
The Fonoflow Console Remote Control App is available for both iOS and Android devices and can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store. The Console and Dashboard apps are individually priced at $79, or available together for $158.
A Winter Sale is currently running until January 5, 2026, offering individual apps for $59 and the combined package for $99.
