FSB Arrests Dubai Suspect in Attempted Murder of Russian GRU Deputy

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that it has apprehended the suspect who attempted to assassinate the deputy chief of the Russian military intelligence service, Vladimir Alekseyev, in Moscow on Friday. The agency, citing TASS, identified the suspect as Lyubomir Korba, a Russian citizen born in 1960, who was seized in Dubai and extradited this morning by Emirati authorities. A second accomplice has also been detained, while a female accomplice is believed to have fled to Ukraine. According to the Russian investigative committee, Korba arrived in Moscow at the complete of December on orders from Ukrainian secret services to carry out a terrorist attack.
