Third-division side Gigant (Sŭedinenie) has made a significant splash in the winter transfer window, securing the services of Radoslav Terziev, a well-known figure in Plovdiv football.
Terziev, a product of the Spartak and Botev Plovdiv academies, spent nearly 150 matches with “the Canaries,” and was a key part of their Bulgarian Cup and Super Cup winning teams.
The defender’s career also includes stints with Montana, Hebar, Etar, Krumovgrad, Spartak Varna, and Sportist (Svoge). Radoslav Terziev also has appearances for the Bulgaria under-21 national team, and received a call-up to the senior national team by Ivaylo Petev in 2015 for a match against Romania, though he remained an unused substitute.
Terziev participated in Gigant’s first training session of 2026. Nikola Gavov is the other new addition to the squad, with several other players currently trialing for a spot, with coach Vasil Stefanov set to make decisions on their futures following the completion of the pre-season camp.
The team has scheduled four friendly matches to prepare for the spring season:
January 17, Gigant – Spartak (Plovdiv)
January 24, Gigant – Oborishte (Panagyurishte)
January 31, Gigant – Dimitrovgrad
February 7, Gigant – Atletik (Kuklen)
The Southeast Third League is set to resume on February 14, with Gigant opening their campaign with an away match against Lokomotiv (Plovdiv)’s reserve team on February 15. This match will be an early test for Gigant as they look to build momentum in the second half of the season.
