Recent leaks originating on the Weibo social network suggest Honor isn’t simply increasing refresh rates, but fundamentally changing how games are rendered on screen, with the goal of delivering a visually “seamless” experience. The advancements come as mobile gaming continues to push the boundaries of visual fidelity and responsiveness, demanding ever-more sophisticated hardware and software solutions.
165 Hz and “Super Frame Rate” Rendering
The hardware centerpiece is the display. Honor is testing a new panel technology that supports an ultra-high refresh rate, targeting 165 Hz. This figure, exceeding the 120 Hz standard found in most flagship devices, is becoming the new benchmark for competitive gaming, where every millisecond counts.
