Honor is planning to unveil its Magic 9 series in China in October 2026, according to information that surfaced on the Weibo platform. The upcoming line is expected to feature significant updates to the company’s camera technology and overall design.
One of the most notable changes will be a departure from the circular camera module found on previous models, with the new series adopting a different form factor. The company announced a partnership with ARRI, a company known for its professional film equipment, at Mobile World Congress 2026 and the Magic 9 series will be the first standard line to integrate technologies developed through this collaboration. This collaboration was previewed with the Honor Robot Phone, which introduced initial video features resulting from the partnership.
Beyond the camera, Honor’s Magic 9 series is anticipated to run MagicOS 11, bringing interface modifications and user experience optimizations. The devices are also expected to include large-capacity batteries, flagship-level processors, and improved photo systems. The overall design is expected to align with recent Honor models, with refinements to the appearance and finish.
Recent reports also suggest that the series may include models with flat screens, a change from previous generations. Leaks indicate that the phones could feature batteries ranging from 8,000mAh to 9,000mAh. Honor is also bringing back its LOFIC photo technology with the Magic9 series, and the Pro model is expected to utilize an OmniVision main sensor.
