However, Ukrainian forces continue to hold a substantial portion of Huliaipole. Our units are maintaining their positions, conducting defensive operations, launching counterattacks, and carrying out search-and-strike operations to destroy enemy assault groups, inflicting significant losses on the adversary. The enemy has already lost over three hundred personnel and six dozen pieces of equipment and weaponry in Huliaipole today (December 28th).”

- On December 27th, Russian propagandists claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had been informed of the occupation of Myrnohrad and Huliaipole, as well as several other settlements. Putin asserted that, given the pace of the offensive, Russia’s interest in withdrawing its forces from the “occupied territories” was allegedly “decreasing to zero.”
- The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that reports from Russia about the capture of Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region and Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region do not correspond to reality and are primarily aimed at foreign partners.
- On December 28th, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Troops reported that the situation in Myrnohrad remains complex, however, Ukrainian forces continue to hold certain positions. Ukrainian troops also maintain firm control over the northern part of Pokrovsk.
