The competition comes down to the wire this weekend as TV4’s Idol prepares for its finale on Saturday, December 6.
After a season-long search for Sweden’s next music star, only three hopefuls remain: Love Hedlund Stenmarck, Nicolina-Mercedes Brandström, and Tuva Råwall.
“I thought I would make it maybe a week, max,” admitted Nicolina-Mercedes Brandström, reflecting on her unexpected journey through the competition.
Each finalist will perform three songs during the live show, vying for the votes of both a panel of judges and the viewing public. The artist who receives the most votes will be crowned the winner of Idol.
The victor will receive a recording contract and the opportunity to launch a professional music career. Idol remains a significant platform for emerging Swedish talent, consistently launching artists into the mainstream.
