According to reports, more than 20,000 Italian citizens have been repatriated since the increase in regional tensions began a week ago. The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani during a press conference at the Foreign Ministry.
Meanwhile, a new explosion was reported in Dubai, following a warning from the United Arab Emirates regarding incoming missile and drone threats originating from Iran. The AFP reported the incident.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for an attack on a U.S. Base in Bahrain, stating it was in retaliation for a prior attack on a desalination plant in Qeshm, Iran. The claim was reported by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency.
Tehran also alleges it possesses “evidence” that certain countries in the region are collaborating with its enemies, permitting the use of their territory for attacks against the Islamic Republic.
