Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has claimed it struck radar systems, fuel storage facilities and runways in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, escalating tensions in the region as the conflict with Israel continues. The attacks, which represent a significant widening of the conflict, arrive amid ongoing exchanges of fire between Iran and Israel.

According to a statement released by the Revolutionary Guard on Saturday, the latest phase of operations involved large-scale, combined strikes against U.S. Positions using new-generation rockets and drones. The strikes targeted key facilities at Al-Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, with precision rockets and drones reportedly used in the assault.

The Guard stated that a sophisticated early warning radar system was destroyed, along with hangars used for maintaining MQ-9 drones and facilities linked to American reconnaissance aircraft, including the U-2. These claims were reported by Al Jazeera.

The Revolutionary Guard also reported heavy rocket attacks on the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, alleging that cruise and ballistic missiles damaged the base’s radar systems, fuel storage facilities, and two runways used by American aircraft. The development underscores growing regional tensions and the potential for further escalation.

The attacks follow days of heightened conflict sparked by an Iranian aerial assault on Israel, which was in turn preceded by a strike on an Iranian consulate in Damascus. The situation remains fluid, and the potential for broader regional conflict is increasing.
