Jack Whitehall Mocks Victoria Beckham’s Dancing at Brit Awards

Jack Whitehall didn’t hold back during his hosting gig at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, delivering a string of jokes – as reported by the Daily Mail. The 37-year-old comedian also took aim at a family feud within the Beckham household, involving Brooklyn Beckham and his parents, poking fun at Victoria Beckham’s dance moves.

Publicly Called Out

The Beckham family wasn’t safe from Jack Whitehall’s jabs during Saturday night’s Brit Awards, which he hosted at the Co-op Live arena. The host didn’t shy away from referencing the highly publicized family dispute between Brooklyn and his family.

While introducing Mark Ronson’s performance, Whitehall told the audience: “Get ready, you’re about to dance like Victoria Beckham at a wedding.” The line was a clear reference to the controversy that has swirled since Brooklyn Beckham’s 2022 wedding. In January, Brooklyn wrote a lengthy post detailing how his mother’s dancing at the wedding made him feel incredibly uncomfortable, stating he had “never been so embarrassed in my life.”

According to reports, musician Marc Anthony invited Brooklyn onstage and then asked Victoria Beckham to join them on the dance floor, while many expected the young couple’s first dance. Several guests described the moment as excruciatingly awkward.

Some Say the Timing Was Off

DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the wedding, later told a television interviewer that the situation was more awkward due to the timing than the dance moves themselves. He explained that Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to place his hand on his mother’s hip, which is part of a Latin dance move. The DJ said Brooklyn looked “devastated,” and Nicola Peltz left the room in tears.

Victoria Beckham has not publicly responded to the joke. The comment, however, has once again put the family conflict in the spotlight – and demonstrated that even global superstars aren’t immune to a bit of playful ribbing on the awards present stage.
