Johan revealed Friday evening during a talk show appearance that Kees had suffered a fall.
Kees was awakened during the night by pain in his back. “It’s about the pain I’m experiencing. And let me tell you: you really don’t want to know how much that hurts,” he said, describing what prompted his nighttime walk to the kitchen.
In an attempt to alleviate the pain, the singer wanted to take medication. “I went to the kitchen to take some aspirin. The last thing I remember is sitting in a chair behind my laptop,” the reality television personality stated. After that, he lost consciousness.
The next thing the singer recalls is far from pleasant. “The next thing I remember is waking up in a pool of blood,” he described the scene.
The extent of the damage to his face is currently uncertain. “The question is whether my nose is broken, or if it’s just a severe contusion. If it’s a fracture, they’ll have to set it,” Kees explained. The singer hopes to avoid surgery, something loyal viewers of his reality show will recognize as a recurring concern.
Kees is hoping to perform as scheduled with John in their theater show on Thursday.
