Teh Kladno Knights professional ice hockey club has moved to distance itself from a video circulating online, confirming it was not filmed on team property. The club released a statement Sunday clarifying the video was recorded in offices belonging to Sportovní areály města kladna (SAMK), the city-owned organization that manages Kladno’s sports facilities, including the Knights’ home arena. The clarification comes amid concerns the video would be falsely associated with the team and its operations.
Officials from the Kladno Knights hockey club have clarified that a video circulating online was not filmed on club property. The video’s location is the office of Sportovní areály města Kladna (SAMK), a city-owned organization responsible for managing Kladno’s sports facilities.
Michal Häckl, communications manager for the Kladno Knights, stated, “The stadium where the Kladno Knights play is owned by the city of Kladno. The office where the video appeared on screen does not belong to the Kladno Knights hockey club.”
Häckl further explained that the hockey club does not have access to the office space, which is independently secured. “The offices are home to Sportovní areály města Kladna (SAMK),” he added.
SAMK is owned by the city of Kladno and oversees a network of sports venues, including the ice stadium where the Kladno Knights play their home games.
“We ask anyone who shares the video further not to associate it with the hockey club,” Häckl concluded.
