The highly anticipated Swedish MMA event, Last Man Standing, scheduled for March 7th in Karlskrona, has been postponed to a yet-to-be-determined date, organizers announced on Facebook. The event, set to take place at the NKT Arena, was poised to be one of the largest MMA showcases in Swedish history.

The postponement follows the withdrawal of rapper 1.Cuz, who was originally slated to perform during the event. According to organizers, the artist selection was a key point of discussion with the Karlskrona municipality.

“The municipality had previously offered a financial solution tied to canceling the booking of 1.Cuz, but that offer was later withdrawn,” a statement from the event organizers read. “The municipality itself should explain the background to its position regarding the artist.”

Karlskrona municipal councilor Christopher Larsson (SD), also a member of the destination marketing organization, explained that 1.Cuz was deemed “problematic.”

“The municipal leadership, with the security chief at the forefront, has determined that he is problematic. The destination marketing organization has had discussions about having another artist and what that would entail in terms of costs. I have not been involved in that discussion,” Larsson said.

Organizers have stated that all purchased tickets will be valid for the new date, which has not yet been finalized, and refunds will also be offered. The event promised a blend of high-level MMA action and entertainment, aiming to elevate the sport’s profile in Sweden.
