Latvian Hockey Player Scores Season’s 6th Goal

Riga, Latvia – March 7, 2026 – Teodors Bļugers scored his sixth goal of the season as Vancouver Canucks battled hard but ultimately fell to the Dallas Stars in a 1-6 defeat on Friday, March 6th. This loss marks the Canucks’ sixth consecutive setback.

Bļugers played for 16 minutes and 13 seconds, including a minute and 15 seconds while shorthanded. He recorded two hits, lost three pucks, won six of 14 faceoffs, and finished with a -2 plus/minus rating.

Evander Kane opened the scoring for Vancouver early in the game, but Dallas responded emphatically. Liam Bischal netted two goals for the Stars, while Adam Erne, Jason Robertson, Matt Duchene, and Colin Blackwell each added a goal to secure the victory.

The Stars’ win extends their winning streak to nine games, setting a new franchise record. Despite Bļugers’ efforts, the Canucks remain at the bottom of the Western Conference with 43 points in 60 games. The Stars, with 83 points, hold the second position in both the conference and the league, trailing only the Colorado Avalanche (89 points).
