A pre-order listing on the PlayStation Store in Portugal has seemingly revealed that Leon Kennedy will be a playable character in the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem.
The listing for the game’s Deluxe Edition included a “Deluxe Costume” specifically for Leon Kennedy, referencing the Special Agent skin he wore in Resident Evil 6. This discovery, made yesterday, has fueled speculation that Kennedy will feature prominently in the new installment, potentially as a second protagonist. The inclusion of a second playable character would mark a significant departure for the series, which has traditionally focused on a single protagonist per main title.
Noted Capcom leaker AestheticGamer, known as Duskgolem on Twitter, shared an image of the listing, stating, “Sony just accidentally leaked Leon in Resident Evil Requiem. Resident Evil Requiem is currently scheduled for release in 2025, and Capcom has yet to officially confirm details regarding playable characters beyond the initially announced protagonist. Fans can find more information about the upcoming title on the Capcom website.
