Jakarta –
Lionel Messi recently made a quiet return to Barcelona’s facilities, sparking speculation from former teammate Sergio Agüero that the Argentine superstar may not be finished with the Catalan club.
Messi departed Barcelona at the close of the 2020/2021 season, unable to be re-signed due to the club’s financial difficulties as his contract expired.
He subsequently joined Paris Saint-Germain before ultimately landing with Inter Miami.

While currently under contract with Inter Miami, Messi made a discreet visit to the Camp Nou, which is undergoing renovations, and shared photos of his return on Instagram.
Agüero believes that Messi still harbors strong feelings for Barcelona.
“Messi is the most important player in Barcelona’s history. He is a club and city legend,” Agüero stated, as reported by Sportskeeda.
“Messi is synonymous with Barcelona, and I’m certain he enjoyed stepping onto the Camp Nou pitch again. I think that chapter isn’t closed yet,” he added.
Messi’s current deal with Inter Miami extends for three years, keeping him with the MLS club through 2028, or until he reaches the age of 41.
