A 14-year-old boy who went missing after leaving school in Prague has been found safe, ending a police search that sparked concern for the teenager’s wellbeing.
The youth, identified as Lukáš, had traveled to school in the Chodov district before disappearing. According to reports, the teenager, who is from Vyžlovka, failed to return home on Tuesday. The incident underscores the sudden anxiety families face when a child vanishes during a routine commute.
Authorities launched a search operation after it became clear the boy had not returned from his classes. Police coordinated efforts to locate the teen, who had gone missing on his way from school. Police eventually located the 14-year-old in Prague.
Officials have since confirmed that the boy is okay, bringing a resolution to the missing person case. The search involved multiple alerts across the city as police searched for Lukáš after he vanished from the Chodov area.
The case, which was widely tracked by local media including Pražský denÃk and Metro.cz, concluded when CNN Prima NEWS reported that the boy was safe.
