The 7th edition of the National Conference on Modern Neurosciences, titled “Parkinson’s Disease and Other Movement Disorders,” will take place in Iași, Romania, on May 15–16, 2026.

The hybrid event, hosted at the Clinical Emergency Hospital “Prof. Dr. Nicolae Oblu,” will bring together national and international specialists in neurology, neurosurgery, radiology, psychiatry, geriatrics, and related fields to discuss the latest advances in diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.

Organizers said the conference aims to foster interdisciplinary exchange among physicians, researchers, physiotherapists, psychologists, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists, and representatives from health authorities and the pharmaceutical and technology industries.

Key topics include neurodegenerative mechanisms and new etiological perspectives in Parkinson’s disease, modern diagnostic strategies using biomarkers, advanced imaging, and artificial intelligence, emerging pharmacological, cellular, and genetic therapies, functional neurosurgery and deep brain stimulation (DBS), and digital technologies and virtual reality in neurological rehabilitation.

A special focus will be placed on the application of artificial intelligence and new digital technologies that enable real-time patient monitoring and adaptive care approaches.

The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and online participation to broaden access to high-level scientific content for healthcare professionals across Romania and beyond.

Such gatherings contribute to the development of integrated and modern approaches in the care of patients with neurodegenerative conditions, supporting personalized and multidisciplinary management strategies.
