Nathalie Laan, former partner of Dutch singer Marco Borsato, has spoken candidly about the personal impact of the recent legal proceedings surrounding him. “I’m already getting nervous these days if my bra strap shows under my shirt and what kind of signal that sends,” she said, reflecting on the scrutiny she’s faced following the court case. “It’s difficult to deal with the image that has been created, although I can somewhat distance myself from it. But my immediate surroundings are also affected, and that really gets to me.”

Laan addressed the portrayal of her during the trial with a remarkably open perspective. “I have a very free way of thinking about it. I really enjoy sex, and so does my husband. I don’t make a mountain out of a molehill.” She explained that the case largely focused on a handful of incidents over a period of 25 years. “That makes it seem like a lot.”

When asked if she misses Borsato, Laan offered a direct response. “Not anymore. But for the first few years, yes. Then you miss your best friend, your sounding board. Marco is not a bad person. Really not. I think he’s a good person who did something wrong.”

Singer Anouk previously shared her thoughts on how Borsato and his legal team handled the case in court. More on that can be seen in the video below.
