FIFA is re-entering the world of soccer video games, partnering with Netflix Games to develop a new title slated for release around the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
For decades, FIFA was synonymous with the popular soccer simulation franchise created by EA Sports. That long-standing collaboration ended with the release of FIFA 23 on September 30, 2022. Electronic Arts has since continued the series independently under the name EA Sports FC. However, FIFA officials previously indicated their intention to return to the video game market with a product of their own.
That return appears to be imminent.
