During a live broadcast of “Dzień dobry TVN” on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, co-host Paulina Krupińska made an embarrassing mistake when she referred to the display’s longtime floor manager by the wrong name.
The incident occurred toward the end of a segment discussing uncommon names, when Krupińska mentioned the floor manager, whom she believed was named Gustaw. She said, “Our floor manager, who is known across the country, is named Gustaw. I once suspected you were quite the original, popular guy back in the day, right?”
Her co-host Damian Michałowski quickly corrected her, stating, “The funny thing is, his name isn’t actually Gustaw — it’s Piotr.”
Krupińska reacted with surprise, saying, “Wait, but now this is becoming a verbal tic in millions of homes across the country. Everyone knows him as Gustaw. Gucio, our beloved Gucio,” as she tried to recover from the blunder.
She later laughed it off, adding, “I only found this out after six years.”
According to later revelations, the nickname “Gucio” originated from the floor manager’s habit of falling asleep during the children’s show “Pszczółka Maja.”
