Oklahoma City’s Empire Slice House Named Best New York-Style Pizza in Oklahoma

Empire Slice House, a popular Oklahoma City-based pizzeria, was named today as the top choice for New York-style pizza in Oklahoma by Food Network. The recognition highlights the growing culinary scene in the state and solidifies Empire Slice House’s position as a local favorite.

Founded in 2013 by Oklahoma native Rachel Cope in a converted laundromat, Empire Slice House now operates four locations across the state – in Oklahoma City, Edmond, Tulsa, and Stillwater – along with three Empire Slice Shop locations and a presence inside Paycom Center on Thunder game nights. The pizzeria is known for its rotating selection of six daily slice options and whole pies.

Food Network specifically called out two signature slices: the Ghostface Killah, featuring ghost chili marinara, pepperoni, and poblano peppers with barbecue chips, and the Spuds MacKenzie, a unique combination of Cheez Whiz, roasted potato, bacon, jalapenos, cheddar, scallions, and sour cream. Notably, the restaurant has cultivated a devoted fanbase, with over 65 customers demonstrating their loyalty through permanent tattoos – a commitment that earns them a lifetime discount of half off pizza.
