Oppo has expanded it’s Reno series with the release of the Reno15c in China, a new smartphone positioned as a more accessible option within the lineup. Priced at approximately $400 USD, the Reno15c distinguishes itself from previous models with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. The launch signals oppo’s continued focus on the competitive mid-range smartphone market and offering consumers a diverse portfolio of devices.

Oppo has launched the Reno15c in China, building on the Reno15 and Reno15 Pro models released last November. The new device arrives with a price tag of 2,900 yuan, which translates to approximately $400 USD.

Unlike its predecessors, which featured the Dimensity 8450 chipset, the Reno15c is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. It’s paired with 12GB of RAM and comes in 256GB and 512GB storage options, priced at 2,900 yuan and 3,200 yuan (approximately $400 and $440 USD) respectively. This launch demonstrates Oppo’s strategy of offering a range of options within its Reno series to cater to different price points.

The phone boasts a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1256 x 2760 pixels. It measures 158 x 74.83 x 7.77 millimeters, weighs 197 grams, and features IP69-rated protection against dust and water. A substantial 6500 mAh battery fuels the device, supporting 80W fast charging.

Oppo equipped the Reno15c with a triple-camera system. The setup includes a 50-megapixel front-facing camera, a 50-megapixel main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 26mm lens (Sony LYT-600 sensor), and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 116-degree field of view and a 15mm lens (IMX355 sensor). A third 50-megapixel camera functions as a 3.5x telephoto lens (80mm, Samsung ISOCELL JN5, OIS). The phone also supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, 5G connectivity, and stereo speakers, with an added infrared sensor.

Currently, it remains unclear whether Oppo plans to release the Reno15c outside of China. The company has not yet announced any international availability or specifications for other markets.
