Paris’s Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré is now the fifth most expensive retail street in the world, according to a new report from Cushman & Wakefield. Average annual rents on the prestigious shopping street have risen 4% year-over-year to €2,820 per square meter – equivalent to over $300 per square foot.
The increase pushes Paris ahead of Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur in the annual ranking, which surveys 141 key retail destinations globally, selecting only the most expensive street in each country.
“Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré has long been a gateway for luxury brands entering the Central and Eastern European region,” said Jan Kotrbáček, international partner and head of retail leasing at Cushman & Wakefield.
Kotrbáček added that the street remains a highly sought-after destination for retail brands, with Max Mara opening its first store there in 2025. This trend underscores the enduring appeal of physical retail spaces for luxury brands seeking a strong regional presence.
