Pokémon Move is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special event kicking off today, March 3, 2026, featuring increased chances of encountering shiny Pokémon in the wild. The enduring popularity of the franchise demonstrates the continued appeal of augmented reality gaming and collectible digital assets.
Wild Encounters:
Players will find permaboosted Pokémon with a 1/64 shiny rate, including Chansey, Scyther, Aerodactyl, Lickitung, Lapras and Onix. Legendary Pokémon – Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres – will also be appearing with a 1/20 shiny rate. Other Pokémon will have a 1/512 shiny encounter rate.
