Latvian Rock Legends R.A.P. Announce “November Tour”

Latvian alternative rock icons R.A.P. are hitting the road this November for a highly anticipated tour, marking a significant moment for the band after successfully reuniting after a 17-year hiatus. The tour announcement comes alongside the release of a new concert single and music video for one of their biggest hits, “Dzīve bez apstājas” (Life Without Stopping). The song features the legendary vocalist Igo, who also co-wrote the track, showcasing the enduring energy and depth of Latvian rock music.

Tour Dates and What to Expect

The “November Tour” will take R.A.P. across several cities in Latvia, giving fans the chance to experience both classic tracks and newer material. Vocalist Artis Dvarionas promises a setlist that spans the band’s entire career. Expect to hear songs from all three of the group’s studio albums, including fan favorites like “Dzīve bez apstājas,” “Nekas vairs nav tā” (Nothing is the Same Anymore), “Esot vienatnē” (Being Alone), and “Viss jau saplānots” (Everything is Already Planned). The band will also be performing new songs created since their reunion, as well as their recent radio hit, “Melnā (Ak nē, nē, nē!)” (Black (Oh no, no, no!)).

Comeback Concert and New Single

Hailing from Kuldīga, R.A.P. delivered a triumphant return concert at Riga’s “Palladium” concert hall earlier this spring after their 17-year break. That performance sparked the creation of the concert single “Dzīve bez apstājas” and its accompanying music video. The video, originally filmed in Andrejsala in 2007 and completed in 2010, captures the fiery energy that defines R.A.P.’s rock sound. It features all four core members of the band: vocalist Artis Dvarionas, guitarist Aleksandrs Štro, bassist Artis Rozītis, and drummer Gatis Kaizers.

Special Guests and Band History

The tour will culminate with a special performance at Riga’s “Angārs” concert hall, featuring fellow Latvian alternative rock veterans “Indygo” as special guests. R.A.P. is one of Latvia’s most celebrated alternative rock groups, having won multiple Latvian Music Record of the Year awards throughout their career. Their return to the stage has been met with enthusiasm, demonstrating their continued ability to captivate audiences with their energy and musical prowess.

“In these concerts, we will cover all of the band’s work,” says R.A.P. vocalist Artis Dvarionas. “There will be songs from all three of our studio albums, including widely acclaimed tracks like ‘Dzīve bez apstājas,’ ‘Nekas vairs nav tā,’ ‘Esot vienatnē,’ and ‘Viss jau saplānots,’ as well as new songs created after the band’s reunion, including the single ‘Melnā (Ak nē, nē, nē!),’ which has already achieved success on Latvian radio stations.”
