Real Madrid continues to benefit from a high volume of penalty calls in LaLiga this season. Most recently, Los Merengues were awarded two penalties in their match against Real Sociedad.

Real Madrid secured a 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in the 24th matchday of LaLiga, at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Two of Real Madrid’s four goals came from the penalty spot – in the 25th and 48th minutes – with Vinicius Junior converting both opportunities.

Through February 15, 2026, Real Madrid has been awarded 13 penalties in the 2025/2026 LaLiga season, with 11 successfully converted. Los Blancos lead all other LaLiga teams in penalty awards.

The number of penalties earned by Real Madrid is nearly double that of Girona, who have received the second-most penalties with 7.

Barcelona, Real Mallorca, and Celta Vigo have each been awarded 6 penalty kicks, while Valencia, Athletic Bilbao, Sevilla, and Real Sociedad have each received 5.

Real Madrid also leads all teams in Europe’s top five leagues in penalty awards. Vinicius Junior and his teammates have surpassed Bayern Munich (9), Mainz 05 (8), Brentford (8), and Brest (8), becoming the only team to earn more than 10 penalties.

Including all competitions, Real Madrid has had 17 opportunities to score from the penalty spot, and they have not lost any match in which they converted a penalty.
