This prestigious certification recognizes the group’s leadership in patient safety and clinical quality, placing Vithas among an elite group of only 14 hospital companies worldwide to achieve this standard.

The JCI accreditation process involved a rigorous evaluation of 180 criteria focused on medical and healthcare excellence. The assessment analyzed the company’s overall governance, policies, and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of clinical excellence are implemented across the entire organization. This evaluation extends from the corporate strategies of the shareholder (Goodgrower) and senior management down to the operational execution within the group’s network, which comprises 22 hospitals and 40 medical and healthcare centers.

Dr. Pedro Rico, Director General of Vithas, stated that the JCI model for clinical quality and patient safety is one of the foundational pillars of the organization. He noted that achieving this second Enterprise accreditation demonstrates that the company continues to overcome a “huge and complex challenge” it set for itself nearly 14 years ago.
