ASUS Republic of Gamers and KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS have unveiled a limited-edition lineup of gaming gear, including the ROG Flow Z13-KJP, a 2-in-1 gaming tablet designed in collaboration with legendary artist Yoji Shinkawa.
Hideo Kojima, the renowned creator of the Metal Gear and Death Stranding series, has expanded his influence beyond game development, collaborating with major brands and potentially bringing his unique worlds to film. His studio, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, has partnered with ASUS for a distinctive collaboration.
The ROG Flow Z13-KJP, showcased at CES, isn’t simply a limited edition of the already-impressive 2-in-1 gaming tablet; it’s a significant upgrade. The device boasts 128 GB of RAM – a specification rarely seen in consumer laptops – making it a compelling choice for demanding tasks like professional programming, AI development, and creative content creation, even for those unfamiliar with Kojima’s work. This substantial memory capacity positions the Flow Z13-KJP as a powerful tool for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
For those familiar with Kojima’s work, the laptop is particularly appealing, as its design elements are directly inspired by the world of Death Stranding. The black and gold color scheme, combined with intricate industrial design details, will be instantly recognizable to fans, evoking the essence of the Ludens mascot from Kojima Productions. “I wanted to create a gadget that belongs to Ludens and I integrated that into this PC design,” said Yoji Shinkawa.
“I wanted to create a gadget that belongs to Ludens and I integrated that into this PC design,” said Yoji Shinkawa, the art director of the Death Stranding duology.
Detailed graphics adorn the back and bottom of the device, with gold accents around the vents and inscriptions like “Heat Vent / Do Not Cover” contributing to a military, sci-fi aesthetic. A carbon fiber finish further enhances the futuristic look. The special edition also includes a carrying case resembling in-game shipping containers – a stylish, though perhaps not overly practical, addition.
Under the hood, the Flow Z13-KJP is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with a 50 TOPS NPU, Radeon 8060S integrated graphics, a 1 TB SSD, and 128 GB of memory. The 13.4-inch touchscreen boasts a 2560 × 1600 resolution and a 180 Hz refresh rate, although the detachable keyboard is customized to match the Kojima-inspired design.
The collaboration extends beyond the laptop itself. A Kojima-themed ROG Keris II Origin gaming mouse, ROG Delta II headset, and a mousepad adorned with a gold logo, all in the black, white, and gold color combination, are also part of the lineup.
Pricing and availability for these peripherals are currently unknown. However, given the limited edition nature of the collection and the premium components, a significant investment will likely be required. The ROG Flow Z13-KJP is expected to launch on March 3, 2026, and is available for purchase in Hungary, with a discount on peripherals for those who purchase the laptop through Eshop.
